Joey is involved in several start-ups in the Fargo and Minneapolis metro areas. These start-ups are involved in creating wearable technology for snowboarders and skiers, creating all-in-one disaster relief utilities, reinvesting the college degree, product development, and creating smart paper. He loves being involved in start-ups and offering people the support and help they need to create an amazing product.

Joey graduated from North Dakota State University in marketing and a minor in sociology in 2015. His education and experience have given an emphasis on consumer behavior and growth strategy. Joey was involved in the Entrepreneurs of NDSU organization which attended the CEO and 500 Startups conferences in 2015.
Joey has competed in competitions including the NDSU Entrepreneurship Academy, Startup Weekend Fargo, and The NDSU Innovation Challenge. Two of which were organized by North Dakota State University and their tech park. Joey Has also received various entrepreneurship awards at these competitions.
Joey gives credit to the Entrepreneurship academy and receiving the Barry D. Batcheller 2010 Distinguished Youth Entrepreneurial Award for the reason attending NDSU. The College and Business has an exemplary program and opportunities in organizations like ENDSU.
Outside of his work, Joey is a volunteer and supporter of 4-H, Nokomis Child Care Center, United Blood Services, First Lego League, and The Village for Families and Children. He is an adult volunteer and teacher for Clay County 4-H and has put in hundreds of hours since becoming an adult volunteer. He is also a mentor and volunteer for Lego Warriors Clay County 4-H FLL. He has support teams for four consecutive years at the yearly competition at UND.
Joey also serves on the business advisory board for ERBUS and consults on social media initiatives, marketing strategy, business planning, web development, and online strategy. He also provides social media and leadership presenter to non-profits and students.
